Vassilis Balassis obtained his degree in law (J.D.) from the Democritus University. He pursued postgraduate studies at King's College (University of London) where he was awarded an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Banking & Finance Law. He holds an undergraduate degree in theology (B.A. in Divinity) obtained at the University of Athens. He has been admitted to the Athens Bar Association and to the Cyprus Bar Association. He is licensed to plead before Greek courts of all levels (Courts of First Instance, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court) and acts as legal counsel and advisor to a series of Greek banks and corporations both in Greece and abroad. He speaks Greek and English. Vassilis Balassis established Balassis & Associates Law Office in 2000.
