Vassilios Balassis - Founding Member
Vassilis Balassis obtained his degree in law (J.D.) from the Democritus University. He pursued postgraduate studies at King's College (University of London) where he was awarded an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Banking & Finance Law. He holds an undergraduate degree in theology (B.A. in Divinity) obtained at the University of Athens. He has been admitted to the Athens Bar Association and to the Cyprus Bar Association. He is licensed to plead before Greek courts of all levels (Courts of First Instance, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court) and acts as legal counsel and advisor to a series of Greek banks and corporations both in Greece and abroad. He speaks Greek and English. Vassilis established Balassis & Associates Law Office in 2000.
Grace Chiotis - Legal Consultant - Solicitor
Grace Chiotis was born in Sydney, Australia and was awarded degrees in commerce and law (B.Com/LL.B.) from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Grace has extensive experience in banking, financing, corporate and commercial matters, having worked as solicitor in England & Wales for 8 years in the banking and finance department of the "magic circle" law firm of Clifford Chance in London and having worked for 5 years in the financial services sector in Sydney. Grace is fluent in English and speaks Greek.
Christos Zervas - Lawyer
Christos Zervas was born in Athens. Following his graduation from the Athens Greek-French School, he commenced his legal studies at the Democritus University of Thrace where he was awarded a degree in law (J.D.) with Distinction. He has thereafter pursued post-graduate courses in the area of banking and company law. After completing his legal training with Balassis & Associates Law Office and his admission to the Athens Bar Association, Christos has joined Balassis & Associates Law Office as an associate. He has also studied journalism in Athens, Greece. Christos is fluent in English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
